Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit, communicate with, or make a purchase from www.harrisonrc.co.nz . We follow the New Zealand Data Privacy Act 2020.
Apart from the details collected on the login page (name, address, phone number, e-mail address), we also record all customer transactions. This enables us to respond quickly to any queries you may have.
We use Website World (Web Widgets) a New Zealand Internet based company to power our online store. They will not share nor sell your data.
The following is taken from Web Widgets privacy policy and should aid with understanding your own privacy exposure, and how Web Wigets manage your private data when using our site.
When you visit Harrison Rifle Company's website, Web Widgets system collects and stores the following information.
All visitors to Harrison Rifle Company's website will have their IP address logged automatically. The purpose of the log is to identify hackers and to create statistical reports, the logs are deleted after 60 days. We use a statistical package called "awstats".
If a you a customer completes any forms on Harrison Rifle Company's website, Web Widgets data will retain all the information you entered, plus your IP address.
Web Widgets store several session cookies on a website visitors web browser. These cookies are deleted by the web browser when the browser application is closed. If a you click a checkbox to be "remembered" then a more permanent cookie is stored on your computer. The use of cookies is necessary to maintain a user session, or remember a shopping basket for example.
Your data will remain in the database until you delete it, or subject to our auto archiving rules.
Web Widgets also collects the following information about customers to enable the smooth running of Harrison Rifles Company's website based business functions.
A log of all logged in member activity, including what key actions they perform while logged in, including their IP address.
Transaction history of orders and payments
We keep an audit trail of modifications to a customers contact data, in case of fraud.
A log of who was sent a bulk email, and if they opened it, and on which links they clicked. Some statistical data is stored for a short time. We record the history of each email being sent, or unsubscribed, and how consent was derived, to comply with the unsolicited messages act.
Any other data you enter into any form on Betty's Retro website is potentially stored permanently until it is deleted. Custom form posts are deleted after 1 year. Custom membership forms, are retained permanently unless requested to be deleted.
Under the Privacy Act 2020, if Harrison Rifle Company has a privacy breach that either has caused or is likely to cause anyone serious harm, we will notify the Privacy Commissioner and any affected people as soon as we are practically able.
Returns Policy
Due to the nature of the products we have on offer at Harrison Rifle Company we do not generally accept returns for exchange or refund unless it can be shown that we have misrepresented the piece either in condition or description. In that case a full refund will be given. Please choose carefully.
The items sold on our site are either vintage or antique which often gives them a unique worn and distressed appearance. We are precise in our descriptions and photos so you know exactly what you're buying. If at our discretion we do accept a item for exchange or refund (within 7 days of the items dispatch date) freight will not be refunded on returned goods. Freight charges will also apply on exchanged goods.
Please contact us if you have any concerns or questions before you make your purchase.
If we agree to offer a refund this will be issued to the original payment bank account (internet/bank deposit) upon receipt of the item. After the item is received, please allow 5 business days for credit issuance. The time taken for the credit to show on your account is dependent upon your credit institution. An email will be sent to you confirming your credit payment.
General Exchanges
If we agree to a exchange on a full-priced item it will incur a shipping charge for return postage of the exchanged item. You will receive a email with the appropriate shipping cost to be paid prior to the items re-dispatch.
Exchanges on Sale Items
There are no refunds on sale/discounted items.
Buying restricted items
For mail order purchases of firearms, firearms parts, air guns and ammunition, you are required to complete a mail order form. Please contact andy@harrisonrc.co.nz regarding the correct form to use, fill it out, take it to your local Arms officer. The Arms office will sight your firearms licence (if applicable item) sign off the form and email the form to us. Once we have received the signed mail order form from the Arms Officer we can send your order.
